A recent poll of NFL players found that two of them — the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints — were in the mix to win their respective division titles.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport noted that it was the second time this season that both teams have gone on to win that division title.
But while they did win their division titles, the Saints also lost the Super-Bowl.
The Saints were the NFC South champions last year.
So it’s likely that if the Eagles had been to that same Super Bowl, they’d have won the NFC East.
The NFL’s playoff picture is still a bit murky after a loss to the Packers in Week 14, but the Seahawks should have been a threat to repeat.
They’re coming off a playoff berth, they’re in a division that is in desperate need of a turnaround, and they’ll likely be favored by more than just a couple of points over the Broncos.
The Broncos are coming off of a bye and the team has a bye week before hosting the Packers again.
The Seahawks are in the midst of their second consecutive Super Bowl win.
Denver is the second team in the league to win a Super Bowl with Peyton Manning at quarterback.
The only other team to do it was Kansas City in 2004, which ended with Manning being sacked 16 times.
The team also finished the regular season with a 7-3 record, the best record in the NFL, and Manning was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
