Updated May 16, 2018 09:00:59A Zili driver in New Jersey is under the care of the state after he crashed into a parked car while he was texting on his phone, causing a $400 fine and a $200 civil penalty.
The crash happened in the borough of Boca Raton at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 16.
The accident left the driver with minor injuries, including bruises, but no broken bones, according to a statement released by the Boca Police Department.
The driver is now in stable condition at a hospital.
The driver was arrested and charged with DUI, hit-and-run and leaving the scene of an accident, according the statement.
The department does not know why the driver left the scene, or why the vehicle was parked.
